After the demise of Mother R. V. McAdory, Mother Frankie Davis Murray received the appointment of Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women in the year of 1996 by the late International General Supervisor of Women, Mother Emma Crouch and then Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Hollis Musgrove. She continues to serve faithfully.

Through her visionary leadership, the department exceeds expectations in administration, units, bands, and missions. In 1997, she saw the need for continual training of licensed and aspiring missionaries. Everyone should be on the same page, minding the same things. Through this need, she founded the Missionary Awareness Bible Training Institute, later renamed Women’s Bible Training. This annual training is mandatory for all licensed and aspiring missionaries. It includes a curriculum for all women wanting to enhance their knowledge of the Bible, leadership and outreach missions training.

Under her direction, the missions ministry was enhanced including, but not limited to, Stew Pot (annual can food drive); Women’s and Children’s Battered Shelter (donating clothing, shoes, and finance); Dress for Success (donating stockings and suits for job interviews); honoring women of the Jurisdiction with life-long service awards; annual Christmas food drive for the needy; and collecting shoes for the children of Haiti.

Over the years, she has saluted city and state officials and citizens that included: Lieutenant Governor Amy Tuck, First Lady Marsha Barbour, News Anchor Maggie Wade, Civil Rights Leader James Meredith, and Mayor Harvey Johnson, just to name a few.

Saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost; she is a woman of God, interwoven in the ministries of missions, intercessory prayer, and an advocate for women everywhere.
